The National Archery in the Schools Program is proud to announce that during the 2023/2024 School year, that NASP® and its partners; the International Bowhunting Organization and Scholastic 3D Archery raised a combined total of $35,814.16 for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. NASP® has been a long-time supporter of St. Jude and is very pleased to add partners who also channel their passion for archery and raise funds for children in need.
NASP® President Dr. Tommy Floyd said, “We would like to thank all those involved in the 2023/2024 fundraising efforts for the children of St. Jude, and we could not be more delighted about the support from our participants for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We know archery coaches across the country give of their time and effort to teach the sport and bestow other positive attributes on their student-archers. Fundraising for those in need is just another example of the types of ‘positives’ the shooting sports promote and develop. The shooting sports do so much for young people! Having them recognize and develop compassion for others in need, is a great example of a life-long skill that we hope is developed! Our aim for 2024/2025 is to challenge all youth shooting sports organizations to join us and make the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital fundraiser a part of their annual competition planning. We think this joint effort proves what we already knew; people in the shooting sports, are not only passionate about their sport, but they really enjoy helping others that are going through difficult times. We want to show the world what kind of supportive people participate in archery!”

The mission of the Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA®) Program is to foster, educate, and guide youth in the areas of indoor target, 3D, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA® program is to provide archery, conservation, and bowhunting opportunities for young people in after-school settings as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. We provide an effective after-school archery program, focusing on Indoor 5-spot, 3D, and Outdoor Target archery and the certification and tools to deliver the instruction to youth.
